Hi everyone, Hope you’re having a fantastic summer! We had a great show last month outside on the deck at St. Peters Bakery on the night of the full blue moon. This month we are playing for the first time at 4th St. Cafe in Morgantown. This is a BYOB venue and they have great homemade fool available for purchase. Hope to see you at 4th St. Cafe!
October 11th, 2013 will be the debut of my duo with Amy Sutryn. We call ourselves ‘Blue Picket Fence’ and we’ll be playing at St. Peters Bakery. Details on Show page. We play originals and lots of great covers. Guitar and banjo and lots of great harmonies.
I will also be doing a solo evening at Listen Live Music in Macungie. I will be one of four singer/songwriters playing my songs. This evening is modeled after the renowned Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. I have one new song for the occasion. Details on show page.
Hope you’ve had a fantastic summer! All the best, JoAnn
I couldn’t remember so I looked back through my calendars and this will be our 7th performance in this fabulous venue. Donna and Ed create the most welcoming environment and the night is always magical for us. We look forward to it every year and we’ve been working on new candies for your listening ears!! Hope to see you! Spend the night! It’s a great place to hang and rejuvenate.
We’re playing this Friday at St. Peters Bakery and again in August. In the interim Ernie and I will be on the road for a month, heading out to New Mexico and Colorado. Our first stop will be in Floyd, Virginia, home of the famous Friday night Jamboree. Have a wonderful summer! All the best, JoAnn
HI everyone…..in addition to our concerts we’ll be playing a couple of festivals. We’ll be playing on Saturday September 24th from 11:30 AM- 12:15 at a poetry festival in Reading. Still don’t know exactly where we’ll be playing. The other is Saturday October 1st at the Apple Festival in Hellertown. Details to come for that. Hope you had a great summer! JoAnn
Hi all…we’re getting ready to do a few shows. Ernie and I will be playing as a duo this weekend in two locations. We’re doing a few songs (15 minutes on stage) at the annual JerryFest on Friday the 4th and then we’ll be playing all evening on Saturday the 5th, again as a duo, at Good Eatz Green Cafe in West Reading. You can hear the whole band on Saturday August 13th at my sister’s house in Wyomissing Hills. It’s going to be great playing outside and there’s a pool if you feel like swimming while you listen. Details for all the shows are on our calendar. Hope to see you! Best, JoAnn
Here are some great photos taken by our new friend Karl McWherter at Frecon’s Hard Bean this past Friday in Boyertown.
Next show is May 21st at Landhaven Bed and Breakfast / awesome listening room in Huffs Church, PA. Hope you can join us.
Finally getting to updating the website and putting up show dates for the next few months. We’ll be excited to start playing again after the holiday/winter hiatus. I’ve been busy working on a solo effort and have been honing down my list of original songs (I have too many for an album!) and then I’m going to start recording in a month or two. I’m working with my mentor/teacher Ken Gehret, who can play just about any instrument there is. We’ve been having a wonderful time playing the songs together, experimenting with instrumentation and the sound we’d like to achieve on each piece. So…..stay tuned! Hope all is well and happy and healthy with you. Best wishes for the new year!!!! JoAnn Here’s a link to a recent open mic with my song ‘Jamboree’ for your enjoyment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUb48jMc7r8
We recently played at the Penn Street Market in Reading, the last one of the season, they start up again next June. We made a new friend in Peter Mitchell and here are 4 videos that he put together from our performance. Enjoy!
Whoa!! Seems like I’ve been ignoring the website! We’ve been chillin’ from performing this summer, went to the Adirondacks for a lovely spell last month and stayed in the water the whole time to beat the heat! Ern and I are doing a few performances this weekend, just a few songs here and there. Tomorrow night we’ll play a few at 6:45 at Jerryfest in Shartlesville www.jerryfest.com and on Saturday night I will be accompanying my friend David O’Connell who will sing a few Irish tunes and then I’ll play a few with Ernie at Osgood’s restaurant in Robesonia, PA, right on 422 during the second set, around 9 PM and then on Sunday we’ll be playing a few between 1 and 2 PM at Bob and Heidi Koch’s House Party at 61 Quarry Road in Oley, PA. Maybe we’ll see you. Hope you’re having a great summer! JoAnn
